Hi, It looks like you have an extra 'n' in your getConnection. You had: DriverManager.getConnnection("jdbc:as400://128.0.60.1","FRN010","FRN010"); ^ Try: DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:as400://128.0.60.1","FRN010","FRN010"); Good Luck! -----Original Message----- From: owner-java400-l@midrange.com [mailto:owner-java400-l@midrange.com]On Behalf Of mtanveer@friedmancorp.com Sent: Tuesday, December 21, 1999 4:20 PM To: JAVA400-L@midrange.com Subject: RE: JDBC Connection problem MSTJDBC.java:53: Method getConnnection(java.lang.String, java.lang.String, ja va.lang.String) not found in class java.sql.DriverManager. Try connecting using the ip address: m_conConnection = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:as400://111.222.333.444","userid","passwd" ); Alex Garrison ----- Original Message ----- From: Pétur Frišriksson <petur@takn.is> To: <JAVA400-L@midrange.com> Sent: Tuesday, November 09, 1999 9:55 AM Subject: JDBC Connection problem When running the following code to connect to a DB2 via JDBC, the connection time is very long or up to a minute.
