I am currently working with COM and JAVA applications on Windows 98 and NT for certain AS/400 related product. The COM application (front-end) mainly consists of user interface stuff. The JAVA application (back-end) accesses data from DB2/400 on AS/400 system. For the whole thing to work, the COM application needs to communicate with the JAVA components. I am looking for a good quality (performance etc.)bridge tool that allows these COM and JAVA components communicate each other. Can anyone let me know for any such a good bridge? Also, please let me know if anyone went through any bad experience with certain bridge. One product that I found is J-Integra. Has anyone used this one? For now, both the front-end and back-end applications are on the same machine. So CORBA seems to be overkill here... But the back-end components will eventually reside somewhere on the AS/400 system where the database is... I'd appreciate if I could get any help on this.
