Jon,

I am running Java 6 (update 16) on the Windows 7 side .  Are you sure 
the .egldd extension files are the ones you are working with?  Normally 
they would be the .egl files (.egldd are deployment descriptors).

I am not seeing what you are seeing however.  I did see something 
similar to this when I was on my Linux partition.  Sometimes I had to 
close the file (saving it) and then reopen it.  At one point, it was 
just easier to look at the source view to set the boxes and child-parent 
relationships (because the icons are so dang tiny).

Knowing your OS might help.
