Hi Tim,

Can an egl service call a dll?

I assume you mean specifically an EGL service part calling a function in a dll. Yes. There was some discussion of that on the EGL café just yesterday:

http://www-949.ibm.com/software/rational/cafe/thread/2208?tstart=0

One link I found describes call the dll more or less directly from EGL:

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=3456&context=SSMQ79&dc=DB560&dc=DB520&uid=swg21351469&loc=en_US&cs=UTF-8&lang=en&rss=ct3456rational

Additionally, the EGL functions Syslib.callCmd() or Syslib.startCmd() can call a Windows exe. So you might even be able to write an exe in VB that declares and uses the dll and call that using callCmd() or startCmd(), though I admit I haven't tried that.

Best of luck,
Kendall

Can an egl service call a dll? Our phone system has a DLL that can be used
to initiate calls and such. I would like to utilize that if possible.
