I think I may have looked at this in the past. The one problem I came up with is where to get a spelling dictionary for the System i.

Does anyone know of a way to add spell checking to an EGL

Investigate the Check Spelling (QTWCHKSP) API and the Aid Spelling
(QTWAIDSP) API
