A little more research shows that the toolbox does (theoretically) support EIM, but I'm still wondering how the browser is going to pass the appropriate credentials to the EGL program which calls the RPG. This is the part of single sign-on that always seems a little hazy to me.
And yet a little more research indicates that, with the appropriate PTFs, the Apache HTTP server can authenticate with Internet Explorer via SSO, and thus can acquire credentials (an "identity token") that can be used with the Java toolbox. This is all very low-level stuff and should probably be transparent to EGL programmers. However, at some point you'll have to tell EGL that you're using SSO/EIM for your connection credentials, and I don't see that support currently in EGL.

But, hopefully I've correctly addressed the issue: you want to log onto Windows and then have that credential be passed transparently via IE to any EGL web applications and in turn used to invoke RPG on the host. Note that even if EGL did support EIM/SSO in the scenario I outlined above, it would require that your HTTP and web application server would be running on an IBM i, and in fact your webapp server would have to be WebSphere.

That's why more information would probably be helpful.
