This gives the following error.
An error occurred when displaying the variable named p_date. The error
was: egl.core.RuntimeException: EGL0101E The value of the p_date variable is
not in the correct format.
EGL0002I The error occurred in the Personal program processing the validate
function..

Any idea??

I believe decimal() should do the trick for both Packed and Zoned. The
value should be mapped according to its source and destination types.
