I would agree that 86% is a bit high but I would also think about creating
new system shrpools to segment your workload & setting them to *CALC>
We employed this strategy when running 4 DPARS on one LPAR on a i550. This
combined with Auto adjust seemed to improve performance considerably by
pushing resources to the specific processes needing them at the moment>
Not sure of your exact config, but if it is all on one, then maybe segment
your HTTP traffic since CPU doesn't seem to be an issue>

thx

86% on DASD? I'd start there.

server on i.

CPU is only peaking at 38%. All jobs in that subsystem are at 0.0%.

Current pmr is 58320,500: Could not connect to sametime01.dekko.com.
Noticed this 5 minutes before international executive meeting. :-(
Other pmrs currently open (includes a different sametime server on another
lpar):
58179,500: sametime server took HOURS to start. required me to run
DLTSTSHMEM several times to clean it up. There's a bug in that it will
only clean up so many per each run.
57660,500: Could not bring sametime down without using *immed.
55613,500: ditto for 57660, but different server
57675,500: Sametime presence appears as question marks.
I have other Domino and pure i5 pmrs currently open. Total of 18 for me.
Got a couple of coworkers who may have 1 or 2 open.

After having numerous tickets opened on Sametime, and after getting egg
on

my face again today when the web meeting server based on the classic
Community Server failed to connect we have to evaluate options. We may
stick with Sametime. However we are looking at other platforms. This
is
not a decision my boss would make lightly. He's no "30 something MBA"
and

is as big of an i bigot as they come.
