My boss is not ready to totally rely upon Message Labs to catch all
incoming virus. Yes, it has been years since Trend Micro's Scan Mail for
Lotus Domino has caught one. But a new year has found a hit. Actually an
old dormant hit. An attachment in an old nsf had a virus. And a data
change triggered ScanMail (we're running their full database scan now on
all databases - only 146% of cpu used by it). However Scan Mail for Lotus
Domino is not supported on any version of Domino or IBM i currently
supported by IBM. It's really lagging behind. Their website is pretty
atrocious also. Like, do you think it would be under "Email and
Groupware"? Nope, it's under "Linux Support". Even their i and Windows
products. Version 5 added DAOS support. However Version 3 is the highest
for IBM i. rag, rag rag....

I hear also about Standguard anti-virus for Domino from bytware
http://www.bytware.com/products/av/domino.html

I was reading their technical information at
http://www.bytware.com/media/techpacks/av/sgav_techpack.pdf
It didn't mention system requirements. But their website did mention
• StandGuard Anti-Virus 6.00
• IBM i 6.1 (i5/OS V6R1) or i5/OS V5R4/V5R3
• Lotus Domino 6, 7 or 8.
• a valid license key
So apparently i 7.1 is not yet supported.

Any other players in this market?

Any comments about Standguard?
