Ah, well. It's been a while since I was actively administering, as you can tell. Just curious, what value have you been entering into the system that gives you 2.4 when you expect 2.5?

Subject: RE: Maximum Mail file quota size on iSeries

Thanks Patrick - that sort of makes sense except the panel prompts you for MB and not individual bytes. Using 2,621,440 would probably exceed the total storage on the entire system it I asked for that number in megabytes.

Walter - I tried your suggestion and it still only shows 2.4 gb. No problem as the user asked if she could move some recent stuff to her archive. We currently have a 2 year archive policy (all email over two years old gets archived).

I do have one user who has a 90 day policy, and I was wondering if I changed this large mail file user to use the 90 day policy, would she end up with two different archive files - one for the 90 day archive and one for her (pre-existing) two year archive? My suspicion is yes.

Or could I create a new 90 day archive policy and in the archive criteria settings specify the same archive prefix as the one used by the two year.
Then assign the new archive policy with the hope that email over 90 days old would go into the same archive used for the two year archive.

Thanks, Jerry
