it would go where ever that system's GDIHQ entry points too..

As an application manager I would be much happier managing the connections
within the application, rather than hoping the system's manager has the
connections defined correctly.

Bummer. With GDIHQ defined on both GDIHQ1 and GDIHQ2 then that would mean

that if GDDATA (on GDIHQ1) tries to connect to GDIHQ it is going to go to
*LOCAL.
