The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
I've opened a PMR on this one... but I'm also looking for other input that
may provide a clue as to how to solve this.
R8.0.1 running on V5R4.
Over the course of the last month (and this has occurred four times) we've
noticed that our external (incoming) email is being tagged as deferred in
our Barracuda 300 appliance.
When this happens I find entries in the miscellaneous events log such as
the ones shown below:
07/20/2010 23:47:48 Full Text message: CreateIndex: Stream lexing
failure
07/20/2010 23:47:48 Error full text indexing document NT00003F56
/lotus/domino/domsvrm1/names.ft (rc=3891) (faster).
07/20/2010 23:47:48 Error full text indexing names.nsf: (faster).
07/21/2010 01:49:03 Full Text message: CreateIndex: Stream lexing
failure
07/21/2010 01:49:03 Error full text indexing document NT0000264A
/lotus/domino/domsvrm1/names.ft (rc=3891) (faster).
07/21/2010 01:49:03 Error full text indexing names.nsf: (faster).
It appears (to me) that when the errors above start to appear, all the
Barracuda LDAP requests to Domino start to fail, and consequently the
email backs up in the Barracuda. A bounce of Domino seems to correct the
problem - for awhile.
Support ID'd an offending entry in the domino directory and had me cut the
person document and then repaste it back into the directory. That worked
for about four days and then today we found two more offending documents
as noted in the above errors from the log.
DDM had an entry that stated "SMTP returned a transient error" - but I
couldn't find anything else about that entry. Not sure if it's related or
not.
I don't know what changed in the last month to cause this behavior. The
domino config hasn't changed and neither has the barracuda config. I did
delete and rebuild the FTI on the domino directory last week.
Comments welcome and appreciated.
Thanks!
Regards, Jerry
