All notes users are assigned to a Unique Org Unit when new users are
registered. This creates names with the following format: Jane
Doe/Oncology/TCI. This process was in place when I inherited the Admin
role.
Recently the MIS department was renamed to be the IT department. As a
result I've been asked to rename all users in the department so that their
name appears as Joe Geek/IT/TCI (from Joe Geek/IS/TCI).
Being a self taught Admin I'm not sure of any easy way to do this. I know
how to request the name change, but is there any way to ensure the change
to the names propagates throughout domino so that ACL's, groups and
anything else that needs touched is updated with the name change? Or is
this something that has to be done manually?
Also all of the IT staff are in a group called MIS Staff. That group name
needs to be changed to IT Staff, but that also requires identifying all
references to the MIS Staff and updating them with IT Staff. Is there any
easy way to identify those references too?
Any pointers, weblinks, or help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Regards, Jerry
