Ok, got much further on this to the point of success. I didn't have
enough apostrophes. Had to change from
RUNDOMCMD SERVER(servername)
CMD(CALL PGM(COMPACT) PARM('-c -daos on -ZU -n -v'))
BATCH(*YES)
ALWMLTTHD(*YES)
to
RUNDOMCMD SERVER(servername)
CMD(CALL PGM(COMPACT) PARM('-c' '-daos' 'on' '-ZU' '-n' '-v'))
BATCH(*YES)
ALWMLTTHD(*YES)
