I fully understand the first sentence. However, something else in your
QSTRUPPGM may have been hogging that interface and by restarting it you
freed it up for Domino? Just a wag. Probably some way to have really
found out using NETSTAT.
I am also curious as to whether or not the telnet stuff would have worked.
I can understand you being in a gosh awful hurry and wanting to get stuff
going. But you may wish to consider calling IBM next time something like
this happens. If I gotta IPL you can bet the bank that IBM's going to get
a call.
