I just tried this on another server
load compact -c -daos on -ZU -n -v
and I am seeing a lot of "Informational, DAOS has been enabled for
database" messages.
So I am figuring it's down to a few things
- that DAOS compact can't be done with the server down.
- something about 1 more server start that got it going and allowed the
daos compact to work.
