Hi Jerry,
We use GSX Monitor for this but you can also achieve this using probes
with Events4 which doesn't cost anything.

Mail in Mail.box backing up and how to prevent
Last Thursday we had an inadvertent shut down of TCP, and consequently
Domino went down hard. SMTP was hosed to the point that multiple server
restarts would not allow mail to go out, but we could still receive
external email. The logs just said that SMTP was not responding. (Internal
email was fine.) An IPL Friday night fixed the problem. However it wasn't
until Friday afternoon that we discovered that SMTP wasn't happy and found
that each of our three mail.box's were backed up with outgoing email.
Is there any method to notify the administrators that attention is needed
when outgoing email reaches a certain number/threshold in the mail.boxes?
A config setting or an agent perhaps?
I'm running 8.0.1.
Thanks!
Regards, Jerry

Recommendation for email archiving packages for Domino
As a government entity, we will very shortly be required to produce email
histories to respond to Freedom of Information Act requests. We need easy
to use, yet flexible, search capabilities and the ability for users (or
via some other means) to flag specific emails with a retention period that
may be longer than a general one-year retention. We are running Domino
8.0.2.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

We are using a Barracuda Message Archiver 350 for our government agency.
Have around 750 users. Simple to install.
Thanks,
Rich

Morning:
I am the developer/analyst for the City of Phoenix messaging group. We are
in the middle of an RFP process for archival products.
We are looking at products that can handle both notes and exchange and are
sized for approximately 10,000+ users
Let me know the number of mail files in your environment, And whether you
are notes only
The products available are quite different depending on how many mail
files you need to manage.

RE Fw: Recommendation for email archiving packages for Domino
Hi
We manage near 3200 mailboxes in a Domino only environment.
We have not yet an archiving system here, but i have had a look about
Sherpa softwares (
http://www.sherpasoftware.com/) which seem to be
interesting (in our case)
They have product for Domino and Exchange.
