Upgrade firmware on Multitech DID modems

I upgraded to the latest firmware on my Multitech DID modems used for
Domino Fax for iSeries (aka Integrated Domino Fax for i5/OS). After doing
so I am getting:

05/05/2009 01:26:48 PM Major error
Code: 11022
Description: The request to the IBM device driver to initialize Fax device
PORT09 did not complete in the time allowed. See the Domino Fax
Administrator's Guide troubleshooting section for more information.

Trouble shooting section never mentions that particular error number. Lots
of reference to the 114* family of errors.
