You know, WRKSYSVAL QALWOBJRST should be one of those obvious things you
check when installing ptf's and new program products. The problem is,
when you run install software that runs in QSHELL your joblog is minimal.
As it is I asked Trend to modify their readme files to have in there that
QALWOBJRST must not be set to *NONE during the install. All I saw in
their install log was that 20 objects were installed into TRENDMICRO
library. It should have much more. And for some reason it just clicked
with me what the problem was. A native i command would have had a more
thorough joblog with what objects were NOT restored (or even that there
were objects that were not restored) and why. Three hours of continuous
phone support later and I have it whipped.
