MS Access is a desktop application NOT an enterprise database server. If
you were using SQLServer DECS could connect to that.
If you need to connect to a desktop application NOTESSQL is the correct
tool for the job.

Subject:
DECS and SQL/Access
All of our connections between Domino, DB2, and MS Access are done using
DECS.
We have an Access DB on a Windows server, and are having issues using DECS
to move data directly between DB2 on the iSeries and the Access DB. The
DSN
has been created, but it is on the Windows server.
Moving data between Notes and Access and Notes and DB2 are handled quite
well using DECS. However, the same is not true of a direct DECS Connection
from Access to DB2. Is that possible? Are there any pointers/reference
material to get DECS to move data between the Access DB and DB2 on the
iSeries?
Or am I supposed to use LEI or similar? I'd like to keep using DECS, if I
can.
Thanks.
Gregg
