Ah yes.

Rules of thumb

A Pop3 user (polling every 15 minutes) is 3 times the weight of a Notes
user.
Why so heavy?
Every message must be converted from NRPC to MIME
to be processed by the end user.
Can this be improved?
Why yes, If you convert the mail file using the -H
parameter
AND update the person document to prefers mime
format
The cost of a POP3 user is about 2x a
Notes user.

If you have crazy users that poll every minute (trust me you do, even if
you don't know it)....
Those users are 30-45 notes users.......

I hope this helps.

Counting POP3 vs Client Users

Looking for a guide line on how many POP3 users equal a Notes Client user
or the other way around... So if I have a system rated say at 8200 MCU how

many POP3 users will that same system support only using POP3 access?

Thanks
