I don't deal with the licensing and cost much, but I didn't think that
there was an additional cost to use Domino Web Access vs the old WebMail.
You still have CALs, I believe, in either case. You just don't have the
additional cost of the Notes client itself.

Regardless, there is a web interface other than DWA. My understanding was
that the main usefulness for it now was for clients that didn't support the
web technologies that DWA uses or for non-Windows clients.

What version of Domino are you using? In 7, there is a mail file template
(mail7.ntf) without DWA in addition to the one with (dwa7.ntf). There's
also an "Extended Mail" template (mail7ex.ntf), but I don't recall off-hand
what the difference is between it and the standard mail template. I
believe there's information about this in the Administrator Help.

Is it possible to access a Domino server for basic email from within a
browser other than through Domino Web Access? Wanting to move from pop
mail
clients to web clients but don't need the extra functionality/cost of a
full
notes client.

Kind regards,

BJ
