I tested on a server without Trend. ENDDOMSVR *IMMED. Got the restart
message immediately upon restart.
Went to another dpar, that is running Trend. ENDDOMSVR *IMMED. Did NOT
get the restart message immediately upon restart.
Got an off list message about this.
Went to my domino console and entered this:
load smddbs -manual mail.box
and immediately got the message.
Thanks for the tip!
One last experiement.

ENDDOMSVR *IMMED again
Took some time between smddbs ending and the arrival of the email but it
did work. Perhaps the system was a little busy starting up.

Great! Now I can get those pages on my cell phone at o'dark thirty in the
morning that a server restart occurred. Wait, oh my God, what was I on?!
