929 does not sound right.

So I checked out:

The pattern file format changed.

While it is true that patterns, and scan engines, automatically update, 
you have to get the "New Pattern Format Service Pack for ScanMail for 
Lotus Notes for AS/400 Patch 1 (v 2.6)", available at the above website. 
The new format is 3.931.

Trend 3.0 is a little quirky but sooner or later you will have to wrestle 
that beast.
