Well, for more on the battle to switch to Daylight Savings Time...

I changed my PC from Indiana to regular EST, and to recognize Daylight
Savings Time (otherwise known as "Mommy, why do I have to go to bed when
it is so light outside?"). I did this by double clicking on the time in
the lower right of my Windows XP PC client. After changing this I
rebooted.

After rebooting I started Notes. Then I did a File, Mobile, Edit Current
Location, Advanced. I changed it from "Use operating systems time zone
settings" to No. Lo, it still thinks it's on Indiana time with No
Daylight Savings time. I suspect this only gets set at startup. (pmr

and saved it. Pulled it back up and changed it back to "Use operating
systems time zone settings" and saved it again. Then I did a File,
Mobile, Edit Current Time/Phone and made sure that finally said regular,
and not Indiana, EST with DST recognized.

Now I open my calendar. And just like Notes warned, switching your time
zone mucked up all of my Calendar entries during the time that DST is
recognized. This is a known issue. Notes claims that if you have
meetings that span time zones that it is better that the others not get
their time's changed and, since you changed your PC you can change all of
yours manually. Regular PITA but a documented PITA nonetheless. I look
at my Calendar view and I notice that my meeting with my boss is moved
from 4-4:30. I am thinking "No problem, they let me know that this was
going to happen, I'll just change it and move on." However when I double
click on the meeting to change it, it says that the meeting time is
3-3:30. (pmr 05482,500)

On my i5/os I changed the system value (V5R3 and above) QTIMZON and I am
reassured by IBM that all my job schedule entries and everything will work
just fine. Those that fall within the time period between 2 and 3am on
Sunday will still run on Sunday. And in the fall those same entries will
run once, but not twice, even though there will be two 2:15am's this fall.
