You are using the 7206 and the CSM correct? If that is the case then there 
is
no need to install an additional IP address on your domino server for 
monitoring from CISCO Device. 

We currently have the CISCO CSM probe setup  to use the existing IP 
address and we specify a URL to Open every 5 seconds. 
IE  /intranet/mailjump.nsf 
 
Our Cisco configuration simply checks the availability of the HTTP on port 
80 by opening a page, via probe every 5 seconds
 for the load balance via round robin or fail over depending on the 
configuration of each virtual server. 

You do not need to bind a different IP address unless you  need to run 
HTTP or another service on a different IP other than default. 

Have your networking guy call Cisco for a configuration check.
