I have 3 dpars (mail, app, im) and I have right at 4400 MB memory. You do have the buffer pool set at the recommended (Total / # of DPARS * 3/8). But that could be causing some issues - what happens if you leave it at the default of 300? I have only gotten the insufficient memory errors if one of my DPARs crashed and I haven't cleared up the shared memory or semaphores. In iSeries Navigator, you have to have all dpars offline to clear these. A couple of new commands can be viewed here: http://cwhisonant.blogspot.com/2005/06/domino-for-iseries-shared-memory.html These let you clean up shared memory and semaphores with just the one server down. While I've had my share of issues at 6.5.4, I haven't had these come up. I have my mail buffer pool at 396, app at 300, and IM at 300. Even though they could all 3 be set at 550 (per my memory requirements), I have looked at the performance to come up with those numbers. A great reference I have is: http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/redbooks/pdfs/sg246937.pdf Go to section 4.2.2 for setting the buffer pool...
