Did it actually recover itself or did you have to manually powerdown?

On any domino issue where we do not know what is happening, we dump the
stacks before ending the server. However, we see this "Out of Private
Handles" errors about 2-4 times a month and this was a very strange
outcome.  Again, we know the faulting application but since it is a CRM
application, we have to live with it until the vendor fixes it.  The
application is leaking handles but the vendor is having issues reproducing
the issue.  We may end up putting some debug parameters in production in to
identify the part fo the CRM code which is leaking.
