Rob --

it was a good suggestion and I tried it but it didn't have any impact. So
I kept on searching and trying different things and eventually stumbled on
the resolution.

Thanks,
Bob

Re: SBMDOMCMD from another Dom server RESOLVED

This was resolved by editing the Agent properties, security tab and
changing the runtime security to 2 - allow restricted operations.

This agent doesn't create a session on the target Domino server so it
doesn't need any runtime access control in the server doc. It opens a
connection on the target iSeries and runs a command from there, outside of
Domino.

This has nothing to do with the security settings in the Server Document?
Like "Run restricted Lotus Scripts / Java Agents"? Is the win server name
in the server doc for the iSeries?

SBMDOMCMD from another Dom server

I'm trying to create a Java agent to run from a W2K Domino server that
will
fire off the SBMDOMCMD on an iSeries Domino server. I'm using the iSeries
Toolbox for Java to create the iSeries connection and run the command.

I've created a stand-alone Java program that will do this and I can run
from my PC and from other PC's and from the W2K Domino server command line
and it works fine.

I've tried to put the same code in a Java agent and regardless of what
server I run it on, I get the same Java exceptions:
02/02/2005 12:20:46 Agent printing: Command SBMDOMCMD CMD('sh tasks')

Any thoughts ???
