Hi Patrick,

The "internotes" server of Domino is working well on 6.5.3! Not that I'd
let Notes clients use it to surf the web, but rather for scheduled agents
that need access to external web servers. It works fairly well, though I
think it's damn slow... ;-)

The LotusScript function GetDocumentByURL needs it active when used in a
scheduled agent. There are also some nice MIME classes to sort the web
pages out when they are loaded.

/Peter

Maybe I missed this in the thread, but what browser is indicated for these
users in their location document? Are they using the (I think) default
"Notes with Internet Explorer" or have they been moved to something else?
We didn't see that particular error, but we saw enough random funkiness
with browser-related Notes issues that we have given up on the Notes
browser and change the location document to the desired browser anytime we
are mucking around in a location document.

The "internotes" in the error makes me wonder, as I think that was a Lotus
product for accessing the Internet. I don't know if it was a proxy server
or the Notes browser itself, but I haven't heard anything about it since R4
and don't have a lot of faith that it has kept up with the technology on
the 'Net.

Patrick

Oh.

Are you using Trend Micro's Scan Mail for Lotus Notes? I had an issue,
when running a slightly dated version of that. It was scrambling my html
on some emagazines, etc. Upgrading my servers to the latest Trend
version, scan engine, etc., helped. Don't recall getting the error
mentioned though.

I have some instructions on checking this, if interested.

Actually all of our users are using the iNotes6 template and are using
Notes 6.5 clients and iNotes to get to there mail. It is weird because
they can open most of there mail most of the time, just speratic emails
that have HTML in the body. Not all emails that have HTML are
effected.........

I saw one hit at:

Something about making sure the users have the right template on their
email file.

Are the users using inotes for their client and trying to open a mail file

with a mailr6 template or vice versa?

Domino 6.5.1 on iSeries V5R2, Notes 6.5 clients

I am having speratic problems with users opening email. When a user tries
to open the email they receive an error that states "Unable to open the
interNotes database, wrong design class" has anyone else seen this error
and is there a setting I need to change so they are able to open all of
there emails. This is only some emails, not a specific from address and
when they cant open the email I open it from my desk and forward it to
them and then they are able to open the forwarded email.
