SPCN is a Network (that's the 'N' part!)  It is also multi-hop (like 
Twinax) except on i5's where it is now a complete loop. Disconnecting it 
will definately create an SPCN error on the 820 but it's hard to say 
what the results will be. I suspect because that tower has only tape in 
it the system won't care however I do not have enough faith in that 
feeling to reccomend anything but powering off the 820.  The biggest 
isseue is if the 'Network' gets disrupted and the 820 thinks the other 
towers are gone as well, then it just shuts down everything. Not goot.

So I agree with Rob!
