Quickplace 6.5.1 vs V5R3

According to this website:
http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/quickplace/sysreq.htm

You need IBM Developer Kit for Java (5722JV1 and option 4, JDK 1.1.8) 

According to this website:
http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/support/planning/v5r3software.html
JDK 1.1.8 is not supported on V5R3.

So does that mean that Quickplace 6.5.1 will not run on V5R3?
