I just opened an SPR (PMR or whatever) with IBM software support regarding
saving IFS objects. The SPR is 88191, 499R.

Anyway, the technician told me that "IFS objects get almost no
compression." This is what we're seeing because we are going to 3 3590x
tapes for Domino stuff and a system we have with no IFS data and it saves
three times the data over to the same number of tapes (on full system
save).

This got us thinking - when Domino allows full DB2 storage will this
reduce the amount of data that is saved to tape?

IBM lurkers, this would be a great thing to have tested and could be
another benefit for customers to use DB2 as the data store.
