Originally, I believe it was 16 (for 4.6.2, which IBM claimed was artificially enforced until they could test higher numbers), but the last number I heard was 99 (somewhere in the 5.x codestream). I don't know if that is how many IBM will support you trying to use, or how many they had successfully tested. Basically, it sounded like the limit is whatever your hardware would support, which of course is highly dependent on how big a horse you are riding...
