It is true that multiple, different versions of Domino prior to 6.0.3 cannot exist in the same LPAR. That's the main reason we're not running QuickPlace, wanted to take advantage of the features in 6.5 more than we wanted to run QuickPlace. Version 6.0.3 and 6.5 can coexist in the same LPAR. Bob mpoweleit@oki-ber ing.com Sent by: To domino400-bounces domino400@xxxxxxxxxxxx @midrange.com cc Subject 12/12/2003 04:53 upgrade to Sametime and Quickplace PM Please respond to Lotus Domino on the iSeries / AS400 <domino400@midran ge.com> We are getting ready to install Quickplace and sametime on our Iseries model 825. I saw the following IBM link: http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/domino/domino6/releasesupport.pdf One page 4 it shows Domino support for other lotus software. If I read this right, we would have to do the following to get Sametime and quickplace to run on our system: 1. Upgrade our Domino6.0.1 sever to 6.0.3 to support the latest version of Sametime 3.1 2. Install ( in another partition) an older version of Domino 5.0.12 in order to run Quickplace. Is this true? We have no problem with step 1. Step 2 sounds like a backwards move as well as needing another Domino Server License. Is it in fact correct that a Domino 6.0.x Server and a Domino 5.0.x server cannot exist in the same partition(LPAR) of the AS400?
