Not a lot of detail to be found on the support sites but I found this
reference on notes.net from Lotus tech support:
"Kvoop is an executable from Keyview, who develops the full-text index
engine we use. Kvoop is used particularly with Domain Indexing and
indexing
of attachments within DBs."
