Say I did set up the exit point. What would I get if I telnetted directly
into the server? A console? What does that get me that telnetting into
the 400 on port 23 and using WRKDOMSVR doesn't get me?

Because everywhere you configure your IP address in Domino you also put a
port number?
TCPIP_TcpIpAddress=0,10.10.1.130:1352
and Domino has no urge to start processing telnet sessions?

Subject: Telneting to a Domino server on a partitioned
AS/400 question
If I try to Telnet to the IP address of one of the 7 Domino servers on a
partitioned AS/400 it takes me to the IP address of the base AS/400
server. Why would it not challenge me at the original IP address rather
than redirecting me. Each Domino server has its own uniques IP address. I
am going to be placing my mail, SMTP, and web server out in the DMZ and
leaving the remaining 4 internal. So I am concerned that it redirects me
to the internal AS/400 IP address. Just hoping a more knowledgeable could
explain this to me. Thanks
