Thank you for your response. I appreciate it. My boss, and I, like our beers as much as the next fellow. However, one paragraph for the conference benefits, and two for the social aspects probably is not a marketing technique that will impress him in this tight budget period. He already won't let me go to conferences in exotic places like Marcos Island - calls it a 'compucruise'. Indianapolis - now that's a turn on. Means business. Would approaching this like how I approach COMMON be a good thing? I pick the sessions I would go to and then decide if it is worth it? Does their web site show their session grid? I think registration is still open. Airfare at this late date might kill you though. I have been going to Lotusphere for 3 years now. I have always thought it was a benefit. It is a real good mix of people at all levels and skills. It is a great place to get your questions answered. They have things set up so that you can talk to the developers of Notes/Domino face-to-face. The one year, I almost ran into Francis Ford Coppla (sp?) after the opening session. That was way cool. First time I ever got to see somebody that famous that close up. Also, the parties on Wednesday night make it all worth it. It is not iSeries specific though. They usually have the Domino iSeries people there though on the show floor. We usually end up asking them a few questions every year. Plus they (iSeries people) usually have a 'special' party of their own one night during the week. The one year, we got to go to the House of Blues and see Terry Bradshaw do a little stand-up act. He actually is pretty funny! That was the year they had all kinds of sports legends there. -- ------------------------------------------------------ Scott P.
