Thanks to everyone,

Andy, it is the bottom rung, 2407

~~~You said that your were
Not really, it is a test box. At 4.5 we could hammer it with interactive
queries and it would not give up, it outperformed a Model 600 hands down.
This system is just behaving weird with V5R1
Sometimes paging is instantaneous, sometimes doing a WRKACTJOB takes 3-4
minutes with 0 load.
It points to a networking issue (nothing has changed).
We recreated the line description today at 10M instead of AUTO. I saw an
APAR on the migration of the older lines.
I have also seen messages in the archives about Line's causing performance
problems after going to V5R1.
I hope this is what causes it.
I just read through the performance guide changes for DSD on V5R1.
Basically, if it is a better domino with this version it also means
developer loads get even less attention.
Thanks,
Mark in Charleston SC
