External data in a view -- DOMINO400

Hi folks,

Does anyone know of a way to retrieve data from an ODBC source
(specifically, DB2/400) to use in a view? We have tried using the view
selection part of the view, but quickly found out it does not allow any
sort of dynamic data to be used in the view. Is there any way to do this?
