Roger,

All you need to do is put the person document in edit mode then click on
the id icon to highlight it and press your delete key on the keyboard -
that will remove the id from the person document and then you can save it.
 Obviously detach them all somewhere first.  I would absolutely recommend
doing this to ensure the ids are secured.
