This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] If you want to lock down your administration, then very few people should have manager access to databases. In my opinion, all users should only have editor acceess to their mail file (as long as the server document has been set up correctly), they can do anything they want expt for deleting the file and changing the design. To allow other people to access their mail file, then they should use the delegation profile, not the ACL Regards Mark Manwaring Certified Lotus Specialist Simon Jersey Limited http://www.simonjersey.com rob@dekko.com Sent by: domino400-admin@MIDRANGE.COM 23/01/2002 16:31 Please respond to domino400 To: domino400@midrange.com cc: Subject: RE: ACL Instead of making someone else the manager all the time you can purchase the software from http://www.akornn.com and add the person to the ACL from the green screen, as needed. This might also prevent them from adjusting the ACL. Just remember, someone (the admin?) need to keep Manager ACL permissions or the database can't be fixed, adjusted, upgrade, etc. etc. Best Regards Fritz Hayes Atwater Associates | |We have discovered that some of our users have found that they |can modify the ACL to their mailbox. How can we change the |users ACL so that they can not modify their ACL? | |We also have a user who also opens his mailbox, clicks on |File, Database, then Delete. Very nice!!!!! Can we stop the |user from doing this (without physically harming the user)? | |Thanks in advance. | |Steve Jones _______________________________________________ This is the Lotus Domino on the iSeries / AS400 (DOMINO400) mailing list To post a message email: DOMINO400@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/domino400 or email: DOMINO400-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/domino400. _______________________________________________ This is the Lotus Domino on the iSeries / AS400 (DOMINO400) mailing list To post a message email: DOMINO400@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/domino400 or email: DOMINO400-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/domino400. ********************************************************************** This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed.
