Requested Information Request Title: Fix the CHGDOMSVR command to retrieve current settings. Provide a detailed description of request (including unique usage): Often we need to retrieve the current settings of a Domino Server. One easy way to do this would be if, when we took an option 2 from WRKDOMSVR, the prompted CHGDOMSVR would retrieve the current values. Currently we get ridiculous values like *SAME. There are many times we need this value including, but not limited to, the following: Migrating a Domino server(s) to another iSeries. Adding another Domino server, much like this one. Debugging purposes - did we really turn on that option? Ease of support - being able to tell Support Line what our current values are. Priority (check applicable priority) x___ Urgent ___ High ___ Medium ___ Low If there is a deadline (date) for obtaining solution, when is it and why do you need it by that deadline? December 10, 2001 We are migrating several Domino partitions to another iSeries and in the process purchasing the biggest iSeries in the state of Indiana. Area where you believe the problem to be: (check applicable area) ___ Client Access ___ Database ___ General ___ Hardware ___ Language/Compiler x___ Lotus ___ Network Enable/Communications ___ Print/Fax ___ Save/Restore ___ Web Serving ___ Work Management ___ BRMS ___ Other: (provide more information here) Why is it important to your business to solve this request? What is the impact to your company if IBM does not provide a solution? We'd rather not have the potential downtime of our Domino servers because we missed some option when we ran the CFGDOMSVR on the new iSeries. Select a requirement type: (Select one) X___ Long range or strategic (required to meet long-range needs) ___ Suggestion (you would like, but it is not critical) ___ Tactical (needed to solve a short-term problem) Do you have a suggested solution? Change the CHGDOMSVR command to retrieve all values of which we are prompted for. As an ancillary - If an API is created to retrieve these current values, then publish the API at the following web site: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/html/as400/v5r1/ic2924/info/apis/aplist.htm Other related information: (include problem number, if available) n/a Describe the environment in relation to this request.(Including the version and release) OS/400 = V5R1M0 Domino = 5.0.8 Product Information OS/400 iSeries Domino 5.0.8 Customer Information Customer number: 5373237 Contact name: Rob Berendt Street Address: PO Box 2000 City, State, and Zip Code: Kendallville, IN 46755 Company name: Group Dekko Services, LLC e-mail address: rob@dekko.com Phone number (including area code): (219) 347-3100 ext 70560
