Open your Workspace (forgive me, I am an old R4 creature of habit)
Highlight the icon which says 'Strongs address book on local'
File, Replication, New Replica
You might want to name the file something different on the server than
names.nsf or someone will hunt you down and kill you (and it won't be
quick). You can do the rename right on the replica screen.
Then on your other PC
Open up the replica copy on the server by doing
File, Database, Open
This will add it to your workspace.
To refresh, either change the replica settings to do it on a periodic
basis, or do a File, Replica, Replicate, right when you start, and right
when you get ready to quit, notes.
You will need authority to add replica databases to the server.
Now, there will be some differences in the databases, most importantly
replica id's. However, you can then copy addresses from one to another
easily enough. There are more steps you can go through if you want exact
replica's. But think twice about that, you may have some differences in
your location documents for example, (lan vs. dialup, that sort of rot).

Hi all,

Sorry, too many projects and did not get back. I would just as soon not
put a server on either of my machines. The bit about putting my nab on
the server would probably do it, but don't know how to go about doing
that. I assume (there's that word again) that I would then replicate my
main machine to the server, and then replicate my laptop to the server.
Where should I be looking for how to set that up?

Can you install Domino Server on one of the PCs, then force a replication
as needed?

Hi all,

I have Notes R5.07 on two different machines in my cubicle. I just use
the one when my W2K machine is down (more than a bit), and would like to
have the two machines synched. Is there a way I can replicate the Names
and other files between the two, other than copying and overwriting them?
The secondary notes client is not normally up.
