I remember trying to do this by creating the document myself when I was
migrating our own OV/400 system to Notes when LCCOV was very new and had
nasty infrastructure requirements which we didn't want to be bothered with
... I did it in LotusScript, even there it was a lot of work and I only
ever managed to create just usable appointments. There's a lot of complex
logic in Notes calendar processing. Sorry to sound negative but I wanted to
warn you of the amount of effort involved. I could fish out the LotusScript
if you wanted - I am sure I have still got it *somewhere* - but the output
was barely adequate.
Surely Lotus (or a third party) has come up with something to automate
calendar processing by now? Anyone know of something?
Depressing to consider the rapidly approaching death of OV/400 - the only
office automation system I have ever worked on that had a decent set of
APIs.

Roger,
I don't have a sample but you have 2 options.
1. If you have OV/400 and LCCOV you can use OV's calendar tools to send an
meeting notice to a Domino mail user.
2. You can the RPG wrappers for the Domino HiTest APIs provided by
TRIANGLE, See more info at

MEVS4TXGVR
This might be the fastest solution for you if you must use RPG.
Were this my solution I would write a program using the C APIs in C. I
don't have a sample that creates a meeting notice but I can provide a
sample that creates a document if needed.

Subject: Create Task/Calendar item from Native 400 code?
Hello,
Is there a relative simple way to create a Domino Task or Calendar
entry for a user from a native program (RPGLE or CL)? I have a user
that would like to have the billing program create an item in Domino
(user(s) or group) to remind them when to run the finance charges for
the bills that were just created.
Pointers to the appropriate documentation is fine, code examples would
be fantastic.
Thanks
