Yes, this is an automatic process done strictly by our 400's. We use Trend's process. 1) Open up the database 'Scan Mail for Lotus Notes' - smconf.nsf 2) Press the button Instructions and read these carefully. We have 1 partition which selects the Internet option. The rest select the Replication option. Then, from the Instructions, we have one program document which runs PUPDATE on the Internet partition, 4 times a day. Then we have several scheduled replications to get the updated file out to all other partitions 30 minutes later. Then we have a program document for each partition selecting the Replication option 30 minutes after the replication to run PUPDATE. Rob Berendt ================== Remember the Cole! Is this an automatic process? I have tried to automate it with no luck, so i do it manually. Any pointers you can give me would be appreciated. We have it download the latest virus pattern files 4 times a day. It will scan all incoming email. It will also scan all Domino databases for existing virus's. Just this morning it reported several to me it's caught. Would not run without it! Yes, we've had problems with it in the past. Even kept one of our servers down for a few hours (no corruption, just a bug with a pattern file). However they are very responsive and the Domino/IBM support personnel seem to be 'Trend' aware. But who hasn't had problems? I can't begin to count the number of incidents I've had opened with Domino (just celebrated a 5 month anniversary on one that is still open-LEI), or the number of pmr's I've opened with IBM. Or the number of times I've called my application software vendors. We'll just leave Microsoft alone... Rob Berendt ================== Remember the Cole!
