Hi,

I'm just starting to get my feet wet using Domino/400 to display AS/400
data on the web. Basically, right now I just want to display (no updates)
-- for example, I want one of our sales reps to sign on and see a list of
our available inventory, or see a list of open orders for one of their
customers.

I'm leaning towards using DECS, since it seems more appropriate than the
DbColumn/DbLookup/DbCommand funtions (?? they seem to need an ODBC
connection, which I don't think will work well over the web). I've found
some good tips on connecting data files on the AS/400 to forms in Domino,
but all the examples seem to be 1-1: I can use the form to put a single
record in a document, but I don't see any way to have a view automatically
pull all the records (or all records based on some criterion) out of the
file.

Has anyone had any experience with this? Are there any good books and/or
other documentation that explains the ins and outs of doing this kind of
thing?

TIA,

Mike Naughton
