John,

I have the same problem even though I switched to domino's native SMTP
server. These files just hang around on our system even though the domino
server has been restarted. Someone on the NEWS/400 domino forum told me
they the extension stands for domino temporary file and that they were
supposed to get deleted when the domino server is restarted. I just delete
them manually.

Thanks,

Tony Awbrey

I am having a problem when sending outgoing mail(internet). If a user
sends an outgoing message with an attachment and the receipient is using
anything other than a Notes client, the attachment comes across as a .dtf
attachment. I have been searching the Notes Forum, the Knowledgebase, and
all the Domino for AS/400 sites and have not been able to find any useful
information. My Domino server is 5.03 on an AS/400 V4R3 I am using MSF for
SMTP services ( Mail Server Frameworks and AS/400 SMTP). This problem only
started occuring after the conversion from Domino SMTP to MSF.

Thanks for any suggestions or additional resources to check,
John Venezia
