I don't know about a free refresher course, but Manta has stuff. You
might want to check out idevcloud.com too. And of course ask questions
here.

The future of the i? Well, I think it will be around for a while. The
i market is decreasing, but I think the number of programmers is
decreasing faster. Supply and demand. Kind of like mainframe COBOL
programmers...still needed. there are some good opportunities for
contractors and consultants in the i market space.
