How to specify a columns length

Hello,



My filed A has the length of 35 characters but I need it to have 50 how can I make this in As/400 queries?



I already gone to the option Specify the Report columns formatting but that only work when I'm previewing the report, my problem is when I export the query result to a file to after be import in Excel the column size returns to the original
